High atop Boston's John Hancock Tower sits a wonder of the Internet Age.  A wireless broadband transmitter emits a stream of pure data through the sky, enabling high speed internet connections to any building within line of sight.  Away from Boston, in a less urban setting, a complicated web of low frequency signals can still reach even the most out of the way building.  Most internet service providers (ISPs) are using wires to bring internet access to homes and businesses, but a new breed of intrepid companies are challenging the traditional wired ISPs and changing the way we access the internet.
